Koh Mak is a small island and like the rest of the world, has been hit by the pandemic. Much of the island was closed when we visited. The rains also made exploration a bit difficult. However, we did go to a couple of interesting places. One was the Koh Mak seafood restaurant which had some absolutely delicious food. I apologize for the lack of photos. I was extremely hungry when we reached and in no mood for photos. But if you visit Koh Mak, do have a seafood lunch or dinner there. The other place was the board walk at Cinnamon Resort.

We were treated to the most glorious sunset here and one rainbow, that I couldn’t capture with my phone. The walk down this wooden walkway was about a kilometer long, with a platform at the end.

The place had a strange vibe to it. It transported me to this land which was detached from everything I stress about everyday and placed me in the middle of sea, sand, an enchanted platform and one of the most beautiful sunsets. No one talked. Everyone was entranced.

Some more moments from this beautiful sunset.

That’s us, being a part of the beautiful moment.

The walk back was an adventure too. Darkness descended all too fast. While walking back we had to make sure we stayed on the path to avoid misadventures. The path was lit by lamps on poles and the whole place looked like a mystical land by twilight.
